Jenedino Quinzon Memorial Scholarship Fund

Jenedino Quinzon worked in the capacity of Controller at Family Health Centers of San Diego for several years. In his position he interfaced with many individuals from within our own company and with funders across the state and with federal governments

He was an admired professional and was well-respected by those he supervised and those he served across the company. His dedication was remarkable and his work ethic was worthy of the highest praise.

Jenedino came to our company as an educated accountant, but without healthcare experience. In the first couple of years, he diligently applied himself to learning all aspects of healthcare accounting and never avoided a learning opportunity.

He did whatever it took to complete the assignment with accuracy and on-time delivery, frequently working long hours to master a new project.

It was admirable that Jenedino was never ashamed to ask a question about something he did not know. In so doing, he increased his performance and insured positive outcomes in his work. People respected that quality in him

Jenedino’s work as a supervisor was commendable. He had fun with his staff, his presence boosted morale, he shared daily lunch with his team and yet, he could hold the line and be firm when needed. He had a wonderful sense of humor and frequently caused laughter. He had a gentleness of spirit and a deep love of his family.

Jenedino was taken too soon from us; we will always remember his contributions, his devotion to Family Health Centers of San Diego, his remarkable work ethic and his willingness to grow through learning. These are qualities that are important to our organization and for this reason we have chosen to honor his name in the mentorship and support of young people.
